Day 6 Kansas City The Call New Year's Day

Last night Sierra stayed over at Jessica's apartment again with Alexia. Sierra shared a twin air mattress with Jessica . . .looks like Sierra made herself right at home. LOL

Taylor and Landon were still at Jordan's which left Carlos and I by ourselves in our hotel once again. This morning we woke at 11 am. It felt so good to sleep in once again! I know our sleeping in is coming to a quick end :-) Carlos had a meeting at IHOP with a few of their team leaders at 2:30 so I dropped him off and then went to Jordan's to do laundry and to get Taylor and Landon packed up. Also, we cleaned the house and picked up Melany and Moises room since the boys spent the week there while they were back home for the holiday's. (Thank you Mel and Moises for letting the boys have your room this week! It was a blessing!)

Around 5pm I picked Carlos up and we went back to Jordan's to hangout awhile. By the time we got back Jordan's house was jam-packed with friends and our kids.

Landon, Jessica, Sierra and Taylor chillin out.

Levi and Junior . . .Junior is from our church and is one of Jordan's roommates. He has been at IHOP for two years and will be staying here for another two years. He is helping out with the all night prayer watch at IHOP.

Junior wanted to show everyone back home that he got his hair buzzed. What do you think Meraly? Sister's Sarah and Amy ( I think her name is Amy . . I am having a memory block right now)

Jordan's friend Adam is an awesome singer and guitar player. He started jamming and Sierra tried to join in.

Alexia on Jordan's laptop.

Jordan then came in the room and started jamming with Adam.

Carlos getting his computer time in too!

Another roommate - Colin

Dennis then came in the living room with his guitar and they played some great worship songs.
More of the youth from our church!
Taylor, Jessica and Sierra listening to the great music.
More of our youth and young adults.
Carlos and I headed back to the hotel and the rest of the group decided to go to the movies. We are now packed and ready to head out in the morning. After we had everything ready to go I called Lisa. We have been playing phone tag the last few days. We ended up spending 3 and a 1/2 hours on the phone . . .can you tell we had a lot to catch up on :-) Anyways, we have had a great time these past two weeks. .. .Indiana was a blast and we had a great time here in Missoui. It will be nice to be home though. There is no place like home. Happy New Year to you all. May the Lord be with each and everyone of you throughout 2008.

Emily,

What an awesome opportunity for the youth.

Thanks for sharing your family with us in 2007 - I've enjoyed the glimpses.

Happy New Year to you as well! Thank you for sharing your special time at the conference. It took me back to when my husband and I were youth pastors. It is impossible for my little ones to stay up all night, but I look forward to the time they can usher in the new year worshiping the Father.

Blessings to you!

Thanks De'Etta! I am not much a journaler so this blog has helped me to document our family life!

We are now in a new phase of life with no cribs, diapers and strollers . . I have 3 teens, one preeteen and and 8 year old. I sure mis the days when they were all young but also enjoying this new phase of parenting too.
