Catching Up Saturday - Part 1

This morning I wokeup with a migraine and boy did this one hurt. I was suppose to be over at Lisa's late this morning to help her get ready for a HUGE dinner she was hosting in honor of Corey Russell. We invited our Senior leadership team and the House of Prayer prayer team to the dinner too so there was a lot to get done. Lisa called me around 10:30 am and I told her I about my migraine and that I was going to try to go back to sleep and see if the Tylenol would kick in. I wokeup around 12:30 and it was about half gone. I went ahead and got up and then headed over to Lisa's to help her out. Ken ended up giving me some Tylenol Sinus when I got there and after about an hour I started feeling so much better. We set everything up and then I headed home to get the kids situated and to get myself ready. I needed to be back over there around 5:30 because everyone was showing up around 6:00.

This evening was a HUGE success. The house looked incredible and everything was set up so nicely and the food turned out great too. One great that Lisa has done the last few parties she has hosted was to hire someone to help her serve, clean and cleanup after the party. She found this wonderful woman named Marsha and boy did it really help to have her for this event and Ava's party. It made it easier on Lisa and she was able to enjoy the guests and not worry about having to clean or cleanup afterwards.

Here is Lisa and Marsha putting on the finishing touches.
Tony sneaking a quick snack!
We had around 50 or so people showup tonight.
Everyone really enjoyed the food and fellowship.

Hospitality is such a gift, don't you think? What a blessing for them to be truly able to share their home for the parties that further your bond in Christ!

I totally agree with you. We use to have most of the parties and meetings at our home but their new home is designed so well to hold a huge amount of people. Her kitchen is about three time the size of mine :-)
