She'll Be Coming Round The Mountain When She Comes

Tuesday we decided to take a drive around Cades Cove. This is about a 2 hours scenic drive up and down the mountain.

As we began the drive I knew it was going to be beautiful. The scenes we saw out our windows were incredible.
The nature and wild life was evident also.
Kaitlyn and Christian wanted to ride with "Papa and Ebby" (that's us) but about half way up the mountain they both got car sick and wanted back in their van.
We stopped at a rest area and snack shop hoping that would help their tummy's settle down.We all had a little something to drink and walked around a little bit. That must have hit the spot because Kaitlyn felt much better by the time we were ready to jump in our cars again.
But as we walked toward our vehicles the memory must have come right back . .so Papa carried her.
If you ever go to Gatlinburg you need to take the drive up Cades Cove. We saw so many neat things. This church was built in the 1850's.
Come on in!
You could just imagine Laura Ingalls from Little House on the Praise or John Boy from the Walton's sitting in church with their famies for church!
Next to the church was a very old graveyard. Some of the tombstones dated back to the turn of the century.
We noticed so many babies that had been buried there.
The weather was beautiful and we were having such a great time!
