Hiking In The Great Smoky Mountains

The great thing about this drive around Cades Cove is that you are able to get out of the car and look at things along the way. We stopped here for a photo opportunity!

Me an Carlos
Ken's Parents, Ralph and Celia with their grandbabies
Ken, Lisa and the kids Me and LisaCan you see why they are called the "Smoky Mountains"?
The views from every direction were breathtaking.

We got back in our cars and headed further up the mountain. We came across a sign that said there was a cabin about 3/4 mile through the woods. We decided to give it a try to see if we could find it.We got pretty far down the trail but only came across this old barn.
The kids started to get tired so we headed back. Along the way we found a creek which Carlos checked out.Kaitlyn came across these butterflies but they wouldn't land on us.
