Off To the Museums

We woke up Thursday morning and drove to the Metro station where we then took the Metro to Washington. This was the first Metro ride for the kids. The Smithsonian has many museums down around the mall. The great thing is that they are FREE admissions.
Our first stop was the Air and Space MuseumLandon was so excited for this museum.

The kids were amazed at all the things they saw.

We took a lunch break at the museum food court.

We have had so much fun hanging out with our two youngest.
We went through most of the exhibits.
The kids impressed me at how much they knew.
We then went to their IMAX theater two watch 3D Sun.It was great fun watching the movie and we all learned neat interesting facts about the sun.
We then walked over to the Museum of Natural History.

The kids looked forward to this . . they couldn't wait to see the dinosaurs.

It's hard to comprehend that these creatures really roamed the earth many many years ago.Our comedian of the family!

Well, "millions of years?"...it depends if you believe the Bible from beginning to end. I believe in a literal 6 day creation. I know it's easy to compromise the word with man's view--but millions of years isn't something I "buy into." Just something to think about. I don't know if you've heard of Answers in Genesis--but they have an amazing ministry. You should check out their Creation Museum in KY--just to compare with the DC museums. No hard feelings...I think your blog is amazing!

The Smithosonian! My kids would be envious....if they saw the photos. LOL

I have prayed about one of the east coast assignments so we could explore all these things....but I'm not sure I want to live in a crowded city for 4 years. LOL

I'm catching up -

Cynthia . .we were so excited to find all the museums free . .I had totally forgotten about that!

Diann . .we had a great time . .I wish though we could have done gone with all five kids but it wasn't meant to be this time!

Michelle. . I do believe the Bible and a literal 6 day creation too . . .though I have read some views from certain Bible Scholars that one day might not have been 24 hours . . some think one day could be 1000 years . . either way I totally believe the Word to be true too :-)

De'Etta . . we stayed in Virgina and it was just beautiful. In fact, Sierra liked it so much she was ready to move! LOL
