The Old Tomb - in 1799 George Washington dies and is buried in the old family vault. Martha dies in 1802 and is buried here too.

In George Washington's will he asked for a new tomb to be constructed. In 1831 the new tomb is finished and George, Martha and other family members are moved to the new tomb.

The New Tomb

After we toured the whole property we made a stop at the shops and then went to the visitor center.
