Mount Vernon - Part 1

Wednesday afternoon we took a drive over to Mount Vernon. I had been to Mount Vernon as a child with my family so I was excited to see it again with my kids.

The Mansion
In 1674 John Washington, great-grandfather of George Washington, is granted land on the upper Potomac , which does become the Mount Vernon homesite.
This tree was one of many trees planted by George Washington.
