A Very Embarrassing Moment!
After I left Andrew and Heidi's I took Mema back home and then headed to the camp to pick up Sierra, Landon and Kaitlyn. On the way home I found out that Carlos' flight got in at 4:15 instead of 5:15 like I thought. I was suppose to pickup the kids at 4:00 so I knew I would never make it. We also had to be at a wedding rehearsal by 6 pm for a wedding that Carlos is doing tomorrow evening. So, I called Meraly who is the sister of the groom and asked her if she could pickup Carlos I would bring her kids home from the camp and then just meet everyone at the rehearsal. She thought that was a great idea. So, I arrived at the camp and piled in all their suitcases, sleeping bags and pillows. The five kids piled in the van and we were off for the hour and half drive back to the rehearsal.
The wedding tomorrow is going to be an outside wedding but the reception is going to be in a hall next door. They decided to have the rehearsal at Samantha's parents house and then have a huge catered dinner for the rehearsal dinner. I had never been out to her parent's house before so I called and got ahold of her sister. She got me to the right street and then she said to look for the house with all the cars. Well, we drove down the street and pulled up to this house.
You can't tell from the above picture but there had to be 20 cars parkced out side the house. I thought, this had to be the right place. So, I had all five kids get out of the car. I asked them all to help bring in the suitcases, sleeping bags and pillows of Meraly's kids and we headed to the house. The kids beat me to the door so by the time I got to the house they were already inside. I opened the door and walked in. I then thought . . . something is just not right here. There was a party going on but I didn't know ONE person at this party. I walked in to the kitchen and said to the people, "I think we crashed the wrong party!" and we had. I was so embarrassed. I couldn't believe we just walked into some strangers house . . .with all the kids and all the camp stuff. I apologized immensely and then headed us all back to the car. As we were getting in the car the owner of the house came outside and asked us who we were trying to find. I explained that we were going to a wedding rehearsal/dinner. He knew the people and pointed us in the right direction. Who of thought that there were to huge parties on the same street.
Inside we immediately went to find Carlos. We were all happy to see him. I couldn't wait to tell him our embarrassing story.
Samantha with her two brothers. Here she is with her sisters. The love of my life standing with the love of Samantha's life - Isai.
Rehearsing
Samantha and Isai have a wonderful testimony. Many years ago Isai was a drug dealer, involved in gangs and many other things. By the Grace of God he found God and is now serving him today. He is now a minister and serving the Lord. Samantha had a very tough life too. She was on the streets for a few years and was very hardcore. Isai's brother Clemente shared the Lord with her and brought her to the Lord. Samantha has come a long way baby and now she is on fire for the Lord and working with orphaned children. Their story is beautiful and this is just a nutshell of their testimony. I know the Lord has HUGE plans for both of them.

You all are killing me by changing to these little comment boxes. I don't like them at all, it totally messes up the way I read/comment on blogs. :(
Your party crashing story is funny, it would have been really embarrassing, and the kids will have a great story to tell for many years! LOL!
Kristine - what a bummer. I have been trying to figure out better ways for people to read and comment on my blog because so many people have problems. I didn't know of the pop comments would help or not.
Emily, what a hoot! I would have been so embarrassed. It sounds like you handled it very graciously.
Debbie - I might of been gracious but inside I was just sooooo embarrassed.LOL I don't think I have ever just walked into anyone's house like that . . yet along with 5 kids who just left camp and was carrying all the suitcases, pillows etc . . .it was a sight! ;-)
That is too funny, Emily! It may be embarrassing now, but it'll get funnier and funnier to you as time passes.
