Homecoming Night

This evening Alexia did her own hair but she asked me to do her makeup. I did a very natural look with gold highlights. For some reason my camera didn't pickup the colors very good this time. Here she is all ready to head out to the school.
They passed out flowers to all the girls.
Alexia was so happy just to be on the court.

The football players were starting their pregame practice.

This is Stephanie with Alexia. She was favored to win Homecoming Queen.
Right before the game started they had each couple drive around the football field. Also, each set of parents had prewritten a paragraph about their son or daughter. They read these paragraphs as they went around the field.

Pop and Nana made it to the game.
The game began . . .half time they would announce the winner.

Landon and his friend having some fun.
Ken and Lisa came to support Alexia! Thanks for coming guys. I know it meant alot to Alexia to have you there!

Ken and PopsMe and my motherinlaw
It's halftime. Here is Alexia and her escort coming on to the field.
We soon find out that Stephanie . . .the girl in the above picture with Alexia did end up winning. Congratulations Stephanie on being crowned Homecoming Queen. Also, Alexia's escort ended up winning Homecoming King.
Alexia, You made us all proud tonight. Not only are you beautiful on the outside but your even more beautiful on the inside. You will always be our Little Princess. You were absolutely radiant tonight! We love you so much!

What a lovely dress! You can wear that type of dress to homecoming when you live in FL (LOL)! It's downright FREEZING around here (sometimes literally) when homecoming night comes around. I remember being SO COLD all of the time when I was a football cheerleader. Many times it snowed!!

We did have a "little" cool front come through a day ago . .not much of a drop though . We went from 90's to mid 80's :-)

I remember the cheering in the cold during football season back home in Indiana. Thank goodness they let us where our sweats and cheer jackets during those cold nights. I always like cheering for basketball games more than football games . . .they were inside where we were toasty and warm.

Emily,

I have clue what homecoming is but Alexia looked beautiful. She has a lovely smile. It seemed as though you all had a great night with family and friends!

Dorothy, Homecoming happens once a year at the high schools in America. This almost always happens in the fall. It is a time where past Alumni come home and attend the Homecoming Football Game. That night usually the Homecoming Queen is announced. Earlier in the month the senior class votes for which girls will be on the court. Alexia was one of those girls chosen. Then the whole school votes on who they want to be queen :-)
