Italy Day 5

We had a wonderful breakfast out on the terrace in Venice this morning. The weather has been fantastic the whole time we have been here.
Thanks Scott and Tammi for letting us spend the night last night!Around noon we headed over to the train station to catch our train to Florence. Here we are on our last water taxi ride! Good bye Venice
Here we are waiting for the train to take us to Florence.
All aboard! Decided to get a little snuggling in before the train started to leave.
So did Scott and Tammi :-)

A train ride through Italy with a Diet Coke . . .doesn't get much better than that!
Carlos and Scott were jamming to their 70's music!
While Tammi got some shut eye!
We had a hard time finding a taxi and we couldn't figure out why . . . .until we found out that we got off at the wrong station :-)
Ahhhhhhh! Finally at the hotel out on our balcony!

Let the love fest begin!
There must be something in the air . . .. could it be love?? !! :-)
After resting for a little bit we decided to go and walk around a little bit and also we needed to get some dinner.
There is so much to see here but we are really going to begin our site seeing tomorrow!
My online friend Leslie told us to check out the Duomo . . .and we did . .. here it is! We are going to go back tomorrow to really check it out better.
We found a restaurant and got some dinner. We were so hungry!
After walking around again after dinner we couldn't pass up some more Gelato before heading back to the hotel.Tomorrow we are going on a bus tour, going to try to see a winery and we have a whole list of sites we want to see. The internet connection here is so slow . . .pray it speeds up to make loading pictures go a little faster.

You and your gelato (LOL). Reminds me of our trips to the FL Keys. In Key Largo there is a place called Mr. C's and he makes THE BEST homemade (fresh everyday) ice cream. We stopped there everyday (one time I think we even stopped 2x.. once headed to Key West and once headed back (LOL). Anyway.. he also had gelato!

Today was the first day I didn't eat any. By the time I was hungry for it . .. it had started to get chilly. We just got back to the hotel room after a full day of site seeing.

Emily,

your blog is really hard to load again!

Ah Firenze! Jamie and I had a wonderful holiday there once.

Do see Michaelangelo's David, the Boboli Gardens and the Uffizi Gallery!

Dorothy,
I have a feeling it is because I have so many pictures in the posts. You might have to refresh it a couple times. We did see Michaelangelo's David and went by the other two places.

Thanks De'Etta!
