Goodbye Italy Hello America
We said goodbye to Rome yesterday around noon Italy time. We had a wonderful flight and thanks to my wonderful dear husband great seats too. Every flight we took on this trip he was able to prearrange bulkhead or emergency row seating. That was a blessings especially when you are flying overseas. Plus, on the transatlantic flight home he had us right by the bathrooms. The past 10 days in Italy were beautiful, exciting and oh so memorable. The history that lies there is just beyond comprehending. It's so amazing to actually see or touch something that was here before Christ.
We want to say a HUGE thank you to my mom and grandmother for taking care of the kids the whole time we were gone. We couldn't arrange these trips if it weren't for you. Thanks for taking the time out from your lives to watch and care for the kids. It is always so nice to leave for a trip not worrying one ounce about the care of the children. Thanks again and we love you so much!
Also, thanks to my dad for picking us up last night. That was a huge help and we really appreciate it.
Thanks to everyone else for your thoughts and prayers and well wishes. Italy is a beautiful country full of amazing things to see and eat :-) but there is no place like the United States of America! God bless the USA!

Glad you made it back safe and sound! Aren't grandparents great!
Thanks Cathie - it is so good to be home! There is nothing like sleeping in your own bed :-)
Thanks Cindy - and yes - grandparents are the best! I love leaving the kids with my parents or grandmother because I know they will be taken care of just like we take care of them. It's such a stress reliever when you travel!
