Landon's 5th Grade Scrapbook
Landon came home with the neatest scrapbook that his teacher had him put together. She actually had each student in her class make one. Here are a few pages from the book:
Below is his teacher . . . he really enjoyed having her this year. He said she made learning FUN!
Each 5th grader has a Kindergartner Reading buddy. Each Friday they would go to the class where their reading buddy was and they would read to them. Landon's reading buddy was in the Kindergarten class Sierra had last year.
The letter above was written by Landon's teacher to Landon:
Landon,
I am so happy you were in my class this year. You have such a wonderful personality! You are very smart and also very kind and considerate. You always treated everyone in a special way and pointed out their gifts. I admire you for that and I know your peers look up to you. Always be a good role model and give 100% effort in all you do. I'll miss you!

What a thoughtful teacher! How special to write something so individual for each student that will both encourage them as they move on to middle school, and bring back sweet memories as they get older!
I got quite emotional reading that and he's not even my son! How wonderful for you, Emily.

How special. She must be an awesome teacher to take the time to help each of the students with a project like that.
Kristine - I was so shocked when he came home with the book. I didn't post all the pictures . . .it really highlighted their whole year.
Dorothy - thank Dorothy! I am very proud of Landon. He has such a sweet personality and for the most part is always looking out for others :-) There are times I miss homeschooling but actually after 13 years I got burned out. Maybe some day I will homeschool again . . .I don't rule it out . . we always take the kids education year by year :-)
Cindy - this is the second year my kids have been in school. We have been TOTALLY blessed with the most awesome teachers. I start praying about this time every year for the teachers my kids will end up with . . .God has been faithful to give them great teachers!!!!
