Friday Afternoon In The Mountains

Later in the afternoon a few people walked up to the top of the mountain. I didn't go but Carlos did so someone got some great pictures of him.

What is an Encounter . . . it is a face to face encounter with God. In other words, it is a weeekend retreat designed to prepare your body, soul and spirit for life. Those that have attended encounters over the last 4 years have had their lives transformed. Each session that is brought forward helps us understand God's purpose for our life. The session on the cross that usually takes place on Friday nights is so powerful. It is one of the best teachings on the cross I have ever heard.

The service that night was great. They brought a teaching on the cross and really looking into yourself at the sin in our lives. After the Word was given they asked everyone to write on a piece a paper any sins that they knew were in them. They then came up for a prayer with a team member. There were many men, women and children that were touched last night.

After they prayered they took the paper with their sins written on them and tore them up and place the in the garbage bag.Here David is sharing with the people to leave the sin there in the garbage . . . Many lives were touched last night. They can't wait for Saturday services.
