Lunch With A Very Special Friend

Back in June of 88 Carlos and I moved into a brand new house that we had built and then had our first baby 4 days later. That first week we moved in we met our neighbors across the street George and Giselle and their sweet baby girl Melina. That was over 18 years ago. We were neighbors for about 6 years but we have remained friends ever since. Giselle was the first to move . . .they moved out to the country . . .about 6 years later we followed them out here. We are now living about 10 minute from each other. We both started homeschooling our kids when our oldest children started Kindergarten. I homeschooled 13 years and then put the kids in school . . .she is still going strong on homeschooling! We had a wonderful lunch and it was great to catch up with each other. Let's do it more often Giselle!!!!!

The way you take your camera EVERYwhere cracks me up and inspires me! I was driving down a "country" road yesterday, figuring out where I could get my best shot of the mountains . . .

Emily, that is a special friend with whom you share so many bonds! What a nice day!

Since starting this blog I started carrying my camera EVERYWHERE. Writing is not the best thing I do so I like to tell my stories with pictures. The times I have forgot to bring my camera I am so disappointed when something great happens or I run into something that would be great for the blog.

I had a MARVELOUS time. We need to get together more often, but I know how busy us moms are. I'm grateful for when we do get the chance to hand out together.

Oh, like you, I'm not good with writing. So I let my pictures do the job for me. Something new I'm going to start is Wordless Wednesday's. Where all I'll have is just pictures. I'm psyched about it. Can't take the credit for it though. I got the idea from another friend. :o)
