Early Evening on New Years Eve!

After church today my sister Steph and her family met us and Lisa and her family at one of our favorite little pizza places. After lunch Ken and Lisa headed home to get ready for tonight and we all headed back to our home. About an hour after arriving home my brother and his family arrived. My sister and I started getting things ready for the evening. I had decided that we were going to have cold and hot appetizers, a fruit tray, veggie tray and a bunch of snacky party foods and desserts. My parents and Mema came in around 6:00. Ken and Lisa and Ken's parents were going to go out for dinner and then stop on their way home. Here are a few pictures from early on in the evening. I got so busy with everything that I didn't take any pictures toward the last half of the evening.

My Aunt Vicki brought a fun game with her. She had a list of 36 carols that just had the first letter of each word - ex: OCAYF - you had to figure out that it said Oh Come All Ye Faithful. This game was fun but boy were some of them tough to figure out. My sister Steph ended winning. My brother has two girls - Emily Grace and Ansley Faith. They are two of the cutest most adorable girls - but I had a hard time keeping their eyes open during pictures. :-)

Wow, Emily, you are blessed to have so much family around! Of course, I can say that--grin--because mine and dh's are all out of state.

Happy New Year to you and your family!

Actually, everyone is in state except for my two sisters who live up north two miles apart from each other. I miss my sister's a lot - I am jealous that they live so close to each other - but my brother and I live two hours apart-not quite the same :-)
