What Happened To Winter?

Today was Ava's first Sunday at church. She looked so cute :-) I walked out of my house without the camera or I would of taken some pictures of her first Sunday. After church we headed to the Chinese restaurant with our family and Ken and Lisa's and a few of Jordan and Taylor's friends from church. After church Ken and Carlos headed to the airport. They are traveling to Kansas City on business. They will just be gone a few days. Lisa and the kids are staying down the street from me at her inlaws while they are gone. Tonight we are going to try to get in a few episodes of LOST if possible! When we got home from church I went upstairs and told myself that I was just going to lay down for a few minutes. Well, two hours later I woke up - it was 5:45 pm. I guess I needed the sleep. (Lisa - if you tried to call me and I didn't answer - now you know why LOL) I went downstairs and found Jordan, Taylor and a bunch of their friends watching a movie that they made of Jordan's band. I then looked outside and saw someone in the pool - I walked out to find Sierra swimming - this is December I thought - but then I realized it is 80 degrees out. So, I took a picture of her swimming in the pool on December 17th. I thought she was the only one who made it in the pool this month but Taylor told me he was in there yesterday. I know the official start of winter is a few days away but here it feels like the beginning of summer. I can't remember if I posted this wind chime before but I purchased this at Michaels. I actually bought two - one for each side of the porch! I thought it was so adorable!
Our friends Fred and Millie bought us a beautiful flower arrangement. I usually by a few different arrangements for the front porch but I never got around to it this December so their gift was perfect! Thanks Fred and Millie for a beautiful addition to our front porch decorations!

Be glad they can swim right now. We had a terrible snowstorm yesterday and I got stuck in the car. (See my blog).

So I have to ask....before you started your blog, did you used to take pictures of everything? I love your pictures; it inspires me to take more!

Your snow story brought back memories of my snow episodes when I lived up north - driving in snow and ice is the one thing I do not miss about living up north. As far as the pictures - I am known in my family as a picture taking addict . . .I have always loved to take pictures - even more than video. I kind of rumored to my dh that I would like a better camera for Christmas . . .we will see if he took the hints!

80*F would be the height of summer here!

Clever Sierra, taking advantage of the weather!

Yes, I would say she was quite smart. The water would of been freezing but thank goodness we have solar heating for the pool. If not, I don't think she would of stayed in long as she did.

Love the swimming pictures! Our YMCA offers swimming until the new year. We don't have a heated pool or we'd be using ours.lol

Lisa, how is the weather where you are? Did you all reach the 80's?

The weather's been perfect. We have been in the mid 70's with occasional dips into the upper 60's. Really can't complain although I do miss the 80 degree weather in Miami.lol
