Thanksgiving Recipes Part 2
Here are pictures of some of the side dishes I prepared. Swiss Beans
2 cans French Style cut green beans drained
2 T butter
2 T flour
1 tsp salt
1/2 pepper
1 tsp sugar
small grated onion
1 cup sour cream
1/3 lb grated swiss cheese
In a saucepan melt butter and saute onion a little. Then gradually stir in dry ingredients. Then add sour cream and stir well. Add beans and pour into a greased pie dish. Put cheese on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
Sweet Potato Casserole
Boil 4 medium sweet potatoes - then mash with hand mixer. Then add . . .
1/2 cup margarine
1/2 sugar
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1 T vanilla
2 eggs
Put in a greased casserole dish and add this topping on top.
Cut together. . .
1/2 cup flour
1/3 cup margarine
1/2 cup brown sugar
Put the crumble mixture on top of the sweet potato mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.
Spinach Casserole
3 packages frozen, chopped spinach drained
1 cup pepperidge farm dressing mix
1 stick melted butter
1 16 ounce sour cream
1 package of Lipton onion soup mix
1 small can mushrooms drained
Mix all ingredients except the dressing mix. Put in a 9 x 13 greased pan. Top with dressing mix. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
Baked Corn
1 can whole kernal corn drained
1 can creamed style corn
1 cup sour cream
1 stick margarine melted
2 eggs beaten
1 box jiffy corn muffin mix
Mix all the ingredients in a bowl and then pour in a 10 x 10 greased pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
