50 Hour Prayer Siege for the Nation and the Elections

As many of you know my husband and I are the Director's of the Orlando House of Prayer Missions Base. The heart of our missions base is the prayer room. We hope to be 24/7 in the very near future but for now we have about 120 hours of prayer and worship each week.We have a new prayer room/worship director - Nick Canuso (pictured on the far left) He has been around houses of prayer including IHOP where he was on staff for a year and a half. The rest of us in this picture are the prayer room leadership cabinet. Bonnie is part of the leadership team but she was not feeling well when we took the above picture. My husband decided to call a 50 hour prayer siege for the elections and our nation. We began the siege last night (Sunday at 6pm) and it will last through Tuesday at 10pm. Our prayer room was in our youth building but we decided to move it over to the new building since it was almost ready to go.

The first night I was there until 1:30 in the morning. Taylor was too but he ended up staying all the way through 6am. Taylor has been playing drums in the prayer room but that night he ended up playing keys and singing as well.
The prayer sets are all 2 hours long so it was my job to schedule a prayer watch leader and a worship leader for each set. I have done pretty good . . . I am just a little short for tomorrow.
Even though there are people shown in this picture, many of our sets were filled with up to 30 people coming to pray and worship.
Since we were praying 50 ours straight, someone gave us the idea of praying for one state per hour. We printed off a map and each hour one state is prayed for.
Each two hour set has a prayer watch leader that leads the prayers.ssingers

We pray for mercy on America. We pray righteousness will prevail over darkness. We pray that when people vote they will vote for LIFE, the sanctity of marriage and values. In Jesus name!

Emily-
What a wonderful idea. I went to bed praying and I woke up praying.
To my knowledge there are no local churches in our area.

AMEN! Prayer is definitely the only way to win this battle.
