Spring Break, Anniversary and Birthday

This week the kids are off school for spring break. Alexia flew to Kansas City for the week and Taylor is on a missions trip. That left me, Carlos, Sierra and Landon. We talked to Ken and Lisa and we all decided to head to the beach for three days to celebrate her 31st birthday which is today and our 21st wedding anniversary which is tomorrow . . .plus the kids spring break.

I ended up finding a great deal on the internet over at Ormond Beach so we packed up the cars and headed out this morning.
It felt strange only to be going to the beach with two kids . . . we are use to having a packed car.

We met Ken and Lisa at Denny's where they were having breakfast and then took off from there.
Kaitlyn decided to ride with us.We got settled in then the guys took the kids to the beach and Lisa and I headed to the grocery to get food for the next few days. Later on this evening we headed to a Mexican Restaurant for dinner.
After dinner we stopped by Wal-Mart to pickup a few things that the grocery store didn't have. Sierra was excited to pick up a few things with a $20.00 gift card that someone at church gave her for Valentines.

so we set her free!She was so happy . . . .
Yes . . . . .Freedom! We are now back at the hotel getting the kids to sleep . . .then we are getting together for coffee. We look forward to the next few days . . we needed a few days of rest and relaxation.
