Getting Ready for Sound The Alarm
This morning I needed to be at the prayer room by 11:30 . . . . to get ready for my 12-2 prayer watch. This past week I had a hard time getting the songs to come together . .but last night at class I had a breakthrough after talking with Meraly and Esther and praying with Isai and Sam. Later that night when I got home I grabbed five songs . . .and somehow . .. they all came together great. So, this morning I ran through them once here at the house before I left. I was pleasantly surprised at how well it went today. This was my third time doing a prayer watch all by myself . . .it's definitely getting easier with each time.
After the prayer watch my loving hubby invited me to go out to lunch . . I glady accepted! After a wonderful lunch at one of our favorite Mexican restaurants I headed out to run errands. I volunteered to by all the snacks and drinks for our green room at church. We are getting ready for a HUGE youth and young adult conference that is starting tomorrow. I went to SAM's first and was able to purchase almost everything I needed. Then it was off to Target to return an item . .. then Ross, TJ Maxx and Marshalls.
,After the errands were finished I headed to the church to drop off all the goodies. I was so surprised when I walked in . .. I saw this cool sign that my friend Andrea's uncle made for our "Sound The Alarm Conference". This picture doesn't do the sign justice . . it is made of wood . . .what an awesome job he did.
With the help of a few we unloaded all the drinks and snacks and brought them into the green room.I still have to purchase a few more things like fresh fruit but I will be getting that on Friday.Every time I see these table and chairs in our coffee shop and green room I am so thankful for the generosity of Abe and Elaine. . . thank you so much for blessings our missions base with these gorgeous tables and chairs.I decided to take a look around so I could see what everyone was doing to get ready for tomorrow night. As you can see from this picture . . .they still had a lot of work to do.Andrea worked so hard today with her mom and Crystal (Marie's daughter. They were actually there for 12 hours that day helping to get everything set up. Also my other friend Kwan Yin volunteered that afternoon and early evening too. I know there are some I am missing but a big thank you to everyone for volunteering . . you are all a blessing. One of the first things I noticed after the cool signs was that our second screen was finally installed . . .Yea!!!!!!!!!!
The girls were working hard organizing and displaying some of the products for the conference.
Eggy and Luis were busy working on the sound board.
I then headed back to our offices so I could give PG the receipt for the green room supplies. I was so excited to tell him about how great everything was looking over at the church. PG, you have done an awesome job organizing and putting together your first conference. . . it's going to be an awesome weekend!!
