The LORD on high is mightier than the noise of many waters, yea, than the mighty waves of the sea. Psalm 93:4

"For I am the LORD your God , who stirs up the sea and its waves roar." Isaiah 51:15

Should you not fear me?" declares the Lord. "Should you not tremble in my presence? I made the sand a boundary for the sea, an everlasting barrier it cannot cross. The waves may roll, but they cannot prevail; they may roar, but they cannot cross it. Jer 5:22

As a result , we are no longer to be children , tossed here and there by waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine , by the trickery of men , by craftiness in deceitful scheming ; Ephesians 4:14
