A Winter's Day At The Beach

Today we were able to get a late check out at our hotel so we didn't have to leave until 1 pm. Derek and Renee's two little ones and our Sierra headed right down to the beach after breakfast. The forecast called for 72 degrees so it was going to warm a little bit and at least pull us out of the 60's.Yes, it's cold . . . . . . . .. but we are having sooooooooooo much fun!
I took this from our balcony. Landon ended up going to the beach and he was making some kind of sand castles.
Just ignore our purple lips . . we are having a blast!
It's to see them but they did venture out into the COLD water.
Derek was down at the beach watching the kids so Carlos and I packed up our room and stayed warm. I promise I wasn't eavesdropping on his phone conversation :-)We are going to cherish these last six months with Alexia. She leaves for Missouri in July.
After we checked out at the hotel we were going to go play putt putt golf but it started to rain so we headed back to town . On the way we stopped to have lunch . It was funny because between the 13 of us we went to 4 restaurants Chick Fil A, Fazoli's, Panera Bread and Chipolte's. Thankfully they were right together and we all got our food and ate outside in the courtyard of Chipolte's. We then decided to go to the movies to see Water Horse.
It was a great family movie and a wonderful way to end the day. We then took Derek and his family to the condo they are going to be staying at for the next 5 days. Once we got them settled in we headed for home.
We had a blast with our friends this weekend. We wish it would of been warmer for them but I think everyone had a great time. I know tomorrow it is suppose to be 78 so that should feel pretty good. Tomorrow Derek is going to be leading our praise and worship so we will see them again tomorrow.

I don't remember where your friends are from, but we would have been out there playing on the beach and it would have been WARM to us (LOL)!

They are from Kansas City. The husband is the head of the music academy that Jordan attends. I was surprised that my Sierra just ran right into the water . . brrrrrrrrrrrr!
