My New Year Miracle
As many of you know for 7 years I prayed for the 5 acres behind our land. I wanted to be able to bring my horse Farley home. For the 6 years I have had him I have never had him on my land. Well, when the land finally came available for sale we had problems negotiating the contract with our back neighbors. We tired to get it to work for about 4 months but at the end we gave up and lost the land.
Well, back in late early December my friend and neighbor Angela called me and told me that their friends ended up buying the land. She said that she was going to talk to them and see if we could put her two horses and my horse on the land. So, she called and they said that we were more than welcome to lease the pasture from them. They bought the land as an investment property and they weren't going to be doing anything with it for awhile.
So, around mid December Angela called and asked me to help her move her two horses over to the land behind our land. Her horses were over on 20 acres about 1 mile or so down from where we live. She and Bailey decided to ride the horses over so they went and got the horses and brought them in to tack them up.
I went ahead and drove their SUV back home and waited for them to get to the pasture. About an hour or so later they arrived and we got them settled in their new home. I had decided that i would wait until after the New Years to bring over Farley since we were going to be our of town.
So, this past Monday I called my friend Leanna and let her know that I would be moving Farley that day. Leanna has been a HUGE blessing to me. She let me keep Farley on her ranch ( which just happens to be about a 10 minute walk from my house) for the last 3 years. I had only planned on keeping there a year but due to circumstances she continued to let me have him stay. Thanks Leanna for not only blessing Farley with a wonderful place to live these last 3 years but for also being so giving and generous to me. Most of all thanks for being my friend! My friend Angela went over to Leanna's with me so she could drive our SUV back to our house. We loaded up his feed, his tack all his other things in the car. I tacked him up so I could ride him "home". I couldn't believe that after 6 years I was finally going to be able to have him right behind my house.
Because we live so close the ride wasn't that long. This is a picture of Farley arriving to his new home. I started to get a little emotional at this point because I was so thankful that God had answered my prayer. It might not be exactly how I prayed . . I had prayed that we would own the land but this is just as good. What a miracle that Angela knew the new owners and that they had no problem with us keeping our horses there. Praise The Lord!

How wonderful! I am so glad that you got to bring Farley home!
I know how it is to have your horse on someone else's property. It was such a blessing when we brought our first horse home. We could be with her all the time! Congratulations!
So happy for you, Emily. And I hope you had a terrific birthday!
Thanks everyone! I have been excited to have him right behind our house. I have actually seen him more the last four days than I have the last six months LOL
That's awesome Emily! Just goes to show you how God always answers our prayers, just not always in the way we thought He would. What a great testimony.

That's GREAT, Emily. Now I know the answer to the question I asked in an earlier post.
Oh Emily, what a beautiful answer to prayer and a wonderful way to begin the New Year. I had to keep reading until I found out why Farley was behind your home. ::snort::
