Another New Beginning
Carlos and I started our church almost 8 years ago. We have transitioned from holding services in a movie theater . . then moving to a small space where are offices were . .. then to a storefront that was a pretty nice size but then we started to outgrow that . . . .we ended up leasing another part of that storefront that is huge. Tomorrow we start to have services in this new buiding. In the last building we could hold around 240. In this building we can hold 343 with these new chairs that we have. If we would use our smaller chairs that we used before we could hold around 500.
Also, our friends and church members Abe and Elaine donated $4000.00 worth of wood tables and chairs for our "coffee shop" that we will have in the church. This picture only shows a portion of the table and chairs that they donated. They also gave us to commercial coffee makers. I didn't get a picture of them today. Thanks so much Abe and Elaine for your generous gift that you gave the church. Your generosity is overwelming!!!
We are keeping our old building which is one store down from where we are now. On Sundays the children and the preschoolers will meet at that building. Over in the new building we will have infants to 23 months.
We want to thank the handful of people that came out today to help us work. Most of us worked from 9- 3 but a few others stayed through 4:00.

After Abe brought in and set up all the table and chairs he also helped us with a few issues we had on the stage.
Thanks Luis for all your hard work today! I helped get the infant nursery set up and moved and then helped Aleida a little bit with dusting off the chairs.
Aleida . . . thank you so much for cleaning most of the chairs and for taking time out of your whole day to help us!
Even my hubby . . . the pastor . .. got in the act . . .:-)
Thanks Lisa and Kaitlyn for washing the front windows and for mopping.
Thanks Kevin for staying all day and helping us with so many projects.
Me again .. collecting trash.
Thanks Ken for overseeing this huge project. You did a great job and we know you worked so hard to see it to completion.
By the end of the day we were all tired.

I think Ava had the right idea!
I also want to thank Chevy and Marie, Keith Richardson, Lisa and Shannon and Joleen! They were also here most of the day helping us but I forgot to get their pictures. We couldn't of done it without the handful of people that showed up to help us. You all are the BEST!!!!!I also want to thank Lisa and the praise team for showing up extra early today to get in one more practice ! We look forward to our first service tomorrow in this new building!

How exciting, Emily! I wish you many blessings in your new building.
What an exciting time for your church, Emily!
I bet you'll have a wonderful service there tomorrow!
What a blessing that God has increased your numbers enough to have to expand your church. Not to mention all of the wonderful volunteers to help!
How exciting to see how God has been working in your church family. Love the pictures of all the workers and the tired out kiddos. :)
My Dad is our pastor and we started our church back in 2000. We had the fun of turning a workshop/garage(though is was new) into a church. We picked out everything, painted and did whatever else needed to be done...It was great and we are still being blessed for our efforts.
How exciting, Emily! It all looks GREAT!
