And We Are Off Again

Last night our friends Derek, Renee and their five kids came in town from Kansas City. Carlos picked them up Wednesday night at the airport and then got them settled into a hotel for the night. This morning we took both our cars and went over to the hotel to pick them up. We rented a few rooms over at the beach for all of us. Even though it's not beach weather their kids wanted to see the beach.

On the way to the beach we stopped at Cracker Barrel for lunch. We felt weird being the family with the smallest amount of kids. We only had four since Jordan is at school and they had all five of theirs kids here but they were able to sit all 13 of us together.

They have two birth children and three precious adopted children from the Marshall Islands in the South Pacific. All five of the kids are amazing! They are also in the process of adopting a little boy from the Ukraine.

Relaxing in the rocking chairs.
Derek is the head of the music academy that Jordan attends in Missouri. Renee also works for the academy plus homeschools too. After lunch we all piled back in the cars and headed towards the beach.
We arrived at the hotel and it took three elevator loads up to our rooms.
It is a little chilly to be at the beach but it is still beautiful.

After we got to our rooms we ended up having a problem with one of the rooms so they upgraded both our rooms to suites. This was a blessing for both our families. After we were settled in our rooms everyone except me and Renee went on a walk along the beach. I was too cold to head out there and I am glad Renee decided not to go too . . .if not I would of gone if she did :-)Since we are only here until tomorrow I didn't bring extra jeans for Sierra so I asked her to be careful and not get wet . . . .
Well, she came back to the room after the walk soaking wet . . .supposedly she tripped and fell.
This meant that tonight when we go to dinner . . . she had no pants to wear.
It looks like she will be wearing her pj bottoms out!
We decided to head over to Oceanwalk to have dinner there.
We decided to have dinner at Bubba Gumps.

It has been great spending this time with their family! We are all having a blast.

I brought games to play tonight . . Skipbo, Phase 10 and Rummi Kube but we are all starting to get tired so I am not sure if the games will happen or not.

Thanks Amy! Jordan has a very special talent that God has given him. He writes songs and the music. He also plays the keyboard, drums and the guitar. He is currently attending a music academy in Missouri. Rend the Heavens is his latest song. He self produced a CD of songs that he wrote the words and music too. I am so glad he is using his talent for the Lord. Thanks for popping in :-)

Emily, beautiful sunrise (?) shots! I grew up near the beach, and going in January was always so fun because it was totally different than going in a bathing suit and trying to keep cool. :)
