True Christmas Love Part 1

This past Saturday our Food Pantry put on the BIGGEST Outreach I have ever witnessed in my 21 years in ministry. Along with the Food Pantry, our church, 10 other churches in the area, local business men and women and many fine people who donated funds to this event . . .put on this outreach. We wanted to reach out to the many needy and hurting families in our community.

I arrived at 10 am and only planned to take a few pictures and then head home but once I saw what was happening I didn't want to leave. What I saw put shivvers down my spine. I saw the true love of God in action. These next 8 posts will show you how many families were touched by the love and generosity of those in the body of Christ.

As the families started to arrive they would first head over to registration table.

The families all had to be registered if they wanted to be part of the toy/bike give aways. We had thousands toys donated . . . this is just a small small portion of what was given away that day. Many many bikes and helmets were also given away. We had hundreds of gifts wrapped and ready to go.We also had hundreds and hundreds of bags and boxes of food ready to go too.
We had over 100 volunteers ready to sow their time and energy to the day!
We had guest ministers who brought forth the Word to the people.

The people seem to come from everywhere.
There were fun activities for the kids all throughout the day.
