Day 1 in Kansas City

This morning Carlos wokeup early and headed to the prayer room at the International House of Prayer. He prayed four hours and then headed back to take Sierra and I to lunch. As we drove through town Sierra was amazed at the beauty of all the snow. We ended going to lunch at On the Border. Carlos was crazing Mexican . . .I was so cold I just ordered Chicken Tortilla Soup.
It was then to the mall to do some shopping. This year most of the kids asked for money or gift cards from the relatives so they could do after Christmas shopping. Sierra was given $50.00 from my parents so she decided to see what she could buy with it.

She first bought two Hannah Montana shirts. She is going to be going to a Hannah Montana concert with her uncle next year so she wanted a shirt to wear to the concert. Now, she just has to decide which one to wear that night. She also picked out this baby doll shirt to wear with her black leggings. She bought a Webkinz that she really wanted . . a pink poodle. This is her first one and hopefully her last. We went through the Beanie Baby craze a few years ago and I refuse to do it with Webkinz . . .especially because they are $15.00 a pop.
She then picked out these adorable shoes at Children's Place. Good choice Sierra!
Like daughter like mommy . . . we went to Bath and Body Works and she picked out two body creams. She is such a good shopper and she loves to smell good too!
It was then off to Starbucks. We actually went to a Starbucks that is the 3rd largest in the US. New York City and Seattle beat out Kansas City. The Skinny White Mocha hit the spot!

We had such a fun time spending the day with Sierra. She was such a joy to be around and it was fun to watch her spend her $50.00. (Mom and Dad . . . she said to tell you thank you so much for the $50.00 - She was excited to pick out things she really wanted - I wish you could of been here today to watch her shop . . . we got a kick out of it)

We are now back at the hotel resting and relaxing. The snow started falling again tonight and we are expecting 4 inches of accumulation. Let it snow Let it snow Let it snow!

Several things to comment on this time:

1. Starbucks! YUM! We have been ordering the White Chocolate Peppermint Mocha all of December because it's the only month they carry it. If you like peppermint and haven't tried it yet you MUST before the month is over.

2. CUTE CUTE shoes! I went shopping and bought 8 pairs of "in style" (important to my girls you know - lol) shoes for $100... it was an AMAZING sale... $70 shoes for $20.

3. Ok.. so I've found a difference between us. I can't wear the B&B lotions because they make my skin itch. I love the smell though.

4. My kids also like to get $$ to spend after Christmas.

5. Gorgeous snow pictures!

WHEW.. I think that's all for this post...

oh..6. On the Border sound YUMMY! You already know I love Mexican, too.

Andra, that soup just hit the spot. I was so COLD and it definitely warmed me up!
