Portland/Vancouver Day 1 - Part 1

We arrived in Portland on Thursday night. I was so tired from waking up at 5 am that morning and then getting the kids to school and then off to the airport. We didn't arrive into Portland until 9pm that night. We are staying at Pastor Vasily and Yelena's house. When we got to their home she had yummy Russian food waiting for us. We are here to celebrate the Grand Opening of their new church building. Many of their pastor friends have come in from all over to help them celebrate. Besides me and Carlos they have two other pastors and their wives staying here too. We visited for awhile and then called it a night.

This morning I ended up sleeping in til 10 and then wokeup to a wonderful breakfast that Yelena had prepared. After breakfast all the wives gathered in the family room to chat.

This is Sheila

The wonderful hostess with the mostess Yelena!
Carlos and I are staying in Susha's room. Thanks sweetie for giving up your room to us!
We both brought our laptops so we could keep up with our work!
Around 1 pm today we headed to Vlademir and Tatiana's house for lunch. They hosted a feast for some of the visiting pastors and their wives.

Everything was so good!
Thanks Tatiana for opening your home and serving us such a scrumptious lunch!
