Lending A Hand To A Friend

Ken and Lisa ordered a bunch of landscaping from a very well known nursery in this area. They have two plans . .. either they deliver, place and plant everything OR they will deliver and place it. They chose to plant it themselves so today was the big delivery day.

I met over at their house around 2:00 today. Lisa's parents and Ken's parents were there too. Ken and Carlos were still at work. When I pulled up to their house it was so neat to already see the plants at the places they were suppose to be.

Then we all got busy with our shovels, hoes and rakes! This is Ken's mom. Here I am working hard on the front area.
Kaitlyn was my little helper!
Lisa and her dad worked on the other side.
Lisa's mom took care of Ava.
Kaitlyn and I finished our area. Now, we just had to wait for Ken to bring home the mulch.
Lisa and her dad finished their side.
Ken's dad and mom got to work on the front. The rest of us joined them when we finished our areas.
This area took along time to do because there was a bunch of grass we had to dig out.
We finished half of this area and then we needed an energy boost . . .Pizza Hut to the recue!
After resting for a little bit we got back to work. We were able to dig up all the grass, get everything planted and Ken also arrived home with "some" of the mulch.
He was able to completly finish this area. He is going to buy more mulch tomorrow. I will go by there tomorrow to take more picture. It really turned out beautiful!

Well, actually that one last picture is the only part that is completely finished. The other two section will be finished as soon as Ken buys more mulch. :-)

Looks GREAT! Did they put in a sprinkler system too? We did all of our landscaping 2 years ago and wow that was a LOT of work! I put in most of the dippers for the drip system, but I had to hire some young (strong) high school boys to help with the hard work of digging.. think hard rocky soil!

No not yet so she is having to manually water them.
