On The Road Again . . to Tennesee

We left Missouri after church and then we headed to Tennesee. We have a lot in a little town called Monterey that we wanted to check on. Carlos and I have had such a great time traveling around together via the car. I told him this is what it was going to be like when we he retired and it was just he and I :-)

As we drove through southern Missouri is was neat to go through parts of America that we had never been to before. We crossed so many rivers!

The Mississippi, The Missouri, The Ohio and many more!

We crosssed so many bridges I lost count.
We tried to make it to Monterey but we ended up having a detour because one of the bridges were closed down so we had to backtrack which put us behind . We ended up stopping in Nashville for the night and then the next morning went on to Monterey which is just about an hour or so outside Knoxville.

We arrived in Monterey and drove around to check things out.

We mapquested the address for our lot and found it pretty easily. My inlaws own the lot right next to us.There is a beautiful lake just down the street.

Also, there are two parks within walking distance. We went to check them both out.

The mountain was made up of a lot of rock.
We had a great time hiking around.
The nature and surroundings were just beautiful.
There was also also a little river that went through the park.

The other park that was just down the street was on the lake.
There a boat ramp . .
They are also building a rec center that can be used for parties and get togethers. There were some beautiful log cabins built right on the lake.

Tennesee is such a beautiful state.

We had such a great time checking out the lot and the area surrounding it.

You lost me there. Did you guys buy property there? Kind of sounds like that or maybe that it's a family thing since you mentioned your parents own a lot next to yours. Have you never been there before?

This was actually our first time seeing it. Carlos bought it sight unseen. We bought it as an investment property and we hope to sell it in a few years!
