A Cafe Like No Other

Yesterday afternoon we had nothing to do so Alexia suggested we take a drive into town. She wanted to take us somewhere . . .she said it involved homemade cheesecake so we all made a dash for the car and headed into town. She wouldn't say exactly where we were going so we were at her mercy :-)I love coming into town . . .we have so many quaint shops. They make and sell quilts and sell antiques and lots of other fun things. We stopped in the town square for a few pictures. We arrived at the cafe . . .it actually is on the second floor of this really cool building. We walked in . . I wish I would of taken more pictures .. . .maybe next time. The owner greeted us all .. he knew Alexia because she had been there many times before. Once we were seated Alexia said to look at the menu . . .she asked what did we notice. . .well I immediately noticed there were no prices and then I saw the following words (Donations Only). I thought what in the world? I have never heard of anything like this before. The owner came over and took our orders . . .I wasn't hungry so Sierra and I split a rootbeer float, Jess and Alexia each tried a piece of cheesecake and Jordan ordered a turkey club. Once the food arrived the owner came over and sat down and started telling us the story of his cafe.

He said that about six months ago the Lord spoke to him to change the cafe to a ministry. He said that the Lord told him to not charge anything for his items . . .just to accept donations only. He also was to pray for each patron that came to the cafe. He told us of account after account of people being healed. After we were through eating and talking we put a donation in the little box on the table and then as we got up to left he prayed for each one of us. What a totally cool ministry . . .may the Lord bless him.

Many of my friends have done to eat there. I have yet to go, but I plan on going. :o) It truly is an amazing ministry.

Did he tell you of how a group of seven went and ate. After they were done, they got up and left. This was when it first opened up. The next day they came back to eat again. This time they left over $70. They told him, that they couldn't believe that he hadn't chased them down and asked them to "make a donation". He is a living testimony.
