A Miracle Right Before Our Eyes

Most of you know that our Missions Base has a Food Pantry. We feed hundreds of people each week. Lisa's husband Ken is the Director of the pantry and is doing an awesome job! Well, a few weeks ago our food supply virtually ran out. We had so many families who were hurting that we ended up with virtually nothing left. The pantry employees felt so bad when families would come looking for food and we didn't have anything. Well, we put out a prayer request to our missions base asking them to pray that God would bring in food. . . . . well, our prayers were answered BIG TIME!!

This past Saturday Lisa and I had organized a meeting with about 50 of our prayer watch leaders, worship leaders and sound people. We had to be there all morning and part of the afternoon. While we were doing that Ken was at the pantry. He had received a phone call from the area postal offices saying that had some food they would like to donate . . .little did we know how much food they were bringing.

When the first truck arrived I think everyone's jaws dropped to the ground. It was packed with all types of food. They thought, "Wow . . .how aweseome . . ."little did they know that this was just the very beginning.

They began to unload this first truck when lo and behond what pulls up . . .but another truck.Once again jam packed with food. This continued all day . .. truck after truck arrived filled with food for the needy.Today after church Ken took me Lisa and I over to the pantry to see exactly what was delivered. Let me just tell you . . .these pictures don't even do it justice.
I was amazed to see bag after bag of food.
It seemed to go on forever.
My heart just melted with thankfulness to the Lord for his goodness.
Our prayers were answered and the pantry was filled with food. It almost reminded me of the loaves and fishes story in the Bible. The amazing thing is . . .there is a full truck sitting in the driveway of the pantry that they haven't even unloaded yet. We serve an awesome and amazing God who is totally faithful to the very end. Thank you area postal offices for your amazing generosity.
Now, here is where we need some help. We have so much food that it now needs to be organized and shelved. If you are interested we need volunteers to come and help. If you have an hour or two and you would like to sow those hours into an amazing ministry please email Ken at KJArtigas@aol.com for more information on volunteering or if you would like to make a donation.

PRAISE THE LORD FOR HIS FAITHFULNESS AND PROVISION!!

I am sitting here in tears REJOICING with you all in the amazing ways that the Lord provides ALL OUR NEEDS!!

I pray that HE blesses you all abundantly for taking care of the poor and needy....that is HIS heartbeat!

I THANK GOD for you guys all the time and wish that I lived closer so that we could come help you all out and worship with you all!

We're believing for the Lord to somehow provide a bigger van for our family. Our minivan seats only 7 and we have 8 in our family. We can't go to church or anywhere together.... We want to bless our friend with our van, they are expecting baby # 3 any day now! :) I know that God will provide somehow, someway....HE is faithful. Can you guys pray for us? ;) THANKS!

I love you guys and pray that you have MORE than enough people help you organize all that food! :)

WOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOO! GO GOD!!

I didn't realize this postal food drive was nationwide. I loved it last Sat. I could see bags of groceries at so many mail boxes.

What a joy to hear how God used this in your community. All for His glory.

WOW! That's amazing. Our local post office also does a food drive, but I don't know where they donate the items.
