Catching Up - Monday through Wednesday

After our busy week last week with the Sound The Alarm Conference I took a few days off this week to rest up and catch up on things around the house. Monday I did nothing but get the house in order. That night Alexia, Sierra and I headed to the prayer room for the 6-8 pm prayer watch. The prayer room was packed that night . . we had to add another 4 rows of chairs to handle all the people. Also, we had a lot of first time visitor's to the prayer room that night. It was neat to see the prayer room being used by those in the community.

Tuesday I continued to work on my songs for my Wednesday prayer watch set. That night I went to my prayer apprenticeship class . . it was great . . Sharon continued her teaching on the Song of Solomon . . I am really enjoying this twelve week class.

Today was fully loaded! As soon as woke up I had to get things going. Carlos helped me out by taking the boys to school so I could get ready to go to the prayer room. Every Wednesday from 12-2 I play the keys and sing in the prayer room. For the last 4 weeks I have been all by myself for this set but today my friend Samantha came in for about 30 minutes and sang with me. It was so nice to have another singer with me. Thanks so much Sam for helpng me out.

After my set my wonderful husband took me out to lunch. After lunch I headed to SAM's to pickup supplies for the Missions Base. One of the things I picked up was a bunch of bottled water. We decided since the music department was selling water at the church for a fundraiser that we would do the same thing in the prayer room.
The money being raised from all the water sales will go towards the new AVIOM system that we are hoping to get sometime this year. So, if you stop by our prayer room . . .purchase a bottled water . . it is going for a great cause! As I was leaving the prayer room I walked by our lounge. This room is used as a breakroom and also as a briefing and debriefing room for the musicans, singers and intercessors. I noticed today how great the room looked. Thanks to Cathie for all the hard work she has done to make the prayer room lounge look absolutely fantastic. Tonight we watched American Idol and now I am working on this blog. I am ready to call it a day. Until tomorrow . . . .!

We also have a green room where we can hang out before/after music.

When you get the AVIOM *be sure* to practice with it multiple times before doing a real service! We only had one practice before going live with ours and the first services were REALLY HARD because we weren't used to the in ears yet.... fwiw.
