Project 365 - Day 9
A Piece Of Family History
This rocking chair was my great great grandmother's. It was passed down to my mom and my mom passed it down to me a few years ago. I just LOVE it. I never met granny but I can just imagine her sitting on it and rocking. Mom said she was a very petite little thing. On the chair in the picture is a crocheted afghan that my grandmother (Mema) made. I love having these items in my room. I love that they were made and used by them. By the way, Mema taught me how to crochet by the age of five!!

I have a cast iron skillet that belonged to my great grandmother, whom I never met. I cherish it. Love the rocking chair and afghan. Sweet memories.
Those things are very sweet.
Happy birthday Emily!
