Thankful Thursday
I have so much to be thankful about. I have a wonderful husband and best friend for over 20 years. I have been blessed with five wonderful children who love the Lord and their desire is to serve Him. I have the most awesome parents, sisters, brother and nieces nephews that have a special place in my heart. My sweet Mema who is a young 88 years old holds the dearest spot in my heart! I have the best friends that a girl could ever want! I remind myself of these things when life sometimes throws things at us that cause us to get down or depressed. I quickly snap out of my pouty whiney self and start thanking God for all my blessings!!!
Today was a great day . . .it started off a little slow because I wasn't feeling too good but things got better. I ended up going to the gym and met Lisa there. I got in a 45 minute workout and then headed home to shower and then left to volunteer at Sierra's school.
Carlos came home from work in this brand new convertible . . . .no, we didn't get a new car but our friends Chevy and Marie let us borrow the car for Alexia's Homecoming Parade tomorrow afternoon and for Homescoming tomorrow night. Carlos seemed to be pretty happy driving the mean machine :-)Ken and Lisa invited us over for dinner. A few other friends from church came over too.
Lisa makes the BEST breakfasts meals in town. Tonight it was scrambled eggs with cheese, bacon, Kielbasa, Biscuits and chocolate chip, banana pancakes. i did make breakfast potatoes and brought them over.
I know this is going to sound strange but Lisa got me hooked on putting peanut butter on my pancakes. It is so good . . .give it a try sometime.

Ava - my Special Girl enjoyed watching! She also loves to take pictures. Love that girl!
Christian enjoyed hanging out and watching too!
After everyone left I hungout with Lisa for awhile and then headed home. I am going to try to get to bed early again. I think I was asleep by 11:15 last night. It felt good to wakeup today with a good nights rest.

What a nice car for the parade! Don't let him drive it for too long or you just might be getting him one of those (LOL)!
I have to say I'm a little jealous of the amount of time you get to spend working out AND that you have a friend to go with you! I live too far away to go to a gym and even if I could go, I'm not sure I could find anyone to go with me. It's so great that you live so close to your good friends!
We have to be at the parade at 1pm . . he is outside wiping it down now . . .I think he likes this car just a "little" too much!
Lately Lisa and I haven't been able to get to the gym at the same time as often as we would like. Her schedule has changed a little bit the last month or so and that is making it a little more difficult. But living one minute from each other and our gym being 10 minutes away does make it easier than most.
I can't believe Ava's already standing up like that!
Emily, it sounds like Jordan's trip home was such a treat for you all! I can't imagine how much you miss him being so far away.
I can't believe Ava will be one next month. This past year has just flown by. Also, we have the best time with Jordan. We do miss him greatly!
