Our Busy Home!

There are very few Saturday's that come along where we are able to stay home all day. We usually have something to go to or people to see but today was one of those rare days that found us all at home :-)

Landon's friend Keith came over to play today.

Sierra and her friend Samantha worked hard and long today on their new praise dance there working on.Jordan's friend Ethan stopped by to say hello. I decided to tackle the pressure washing of our pool deck, siding on the back of the house and the pool furniture. It is a long job that has to be done 4 times a year.

Four and a half hours later . . . I complete the task!
The completed project nice and clean! Now we can truly say - Welcome to our pool!Carlos decides to cut the grass.

As you can see from our hedges they needed a trim. With all of our traveling the last 4 months our home has kind of taken a backseat. Well, today that is changing :-) I asked Carlos if he could cut the hedges because my scarecrows can't come out of the attic until they have been cut. :-)
So, Carlos got busy and I went to retrieve the poor scarecrows out of the hot attic.Almost done!

Ahhhhhhhh . . .that loooks so much better! Great job honey!

Jordan invited his friend Enrique to come over and play XBox 360. Alexia and Taylor were in the prayer room all night so they slept most of the day.
Ahhhhhh . . .can you feel that cool crisp breeze blowing through your hair? Do the leaves on the trees show the colors orange, red and yellow? Is there a fire in your fireplace? If you answered yes to any of those questions, then you are not here in Florida with us LOL We had a high of 90 today which means . . . .. Time for some fun in the pool to cool off. After all that hard work mowing the grass and cutting the hedges a dip in the pool hit the spot.
Tonight Alexia invited a bunch of friends over for pizza, ice cream and to watch a movie.
Our home was full of people today but I like it like that . I love to hear the conversations going on between our kids and their friends. I love to watch them socialize and laugh. Today was a full day but it was ever so fulfilling!

Love the muscle shot, lol! We are also having record high temps, and I'm loving it. :)

Kristine . . .I would be loving it if it would be 80 instead of 90 LOL . . .I can't wait for it to be cool enough to open all the windows!

Thanks De'Etta . . .it was a tiring but fun day too. ;-) I am so ready for fall but I guess I should be thankful the kids can still use the pool. It helps them to burn off extra energy that they have stored!

WOW you guys really got a LOT done on Saturday.

Glad you were able to get the scarecrows out.

Our house has also taken the backseat to many things the last few years and we've spent almost ALL summer getting things shaped up around here.

It's amazing how much maintenance a house requires. It is a never ending project! :-)
