My Day With Jordan
Today was a free day for me so I asked Jordan when he wokeup if you he would like to spend the day together. He said he would love too! I was so excited because we haven't really had any mom/son time alone since he has been home. We first headed to lunch at this real cool coffee house that serves the most incredible salads and sandwiches. It is owned by a bunch of Christian businessmen. The place is decorated so cool and the food, coffee and desserts are sooooooooooooo good!
After lunch I told Jordan I wanted to treat him to some new clothes. Now that he is living in Missouri he will be faced with COLD winters so I wanted to pickup some warm things for him. We hit my favorites ROSS, TJ Maxx and Marshalls. I ended up finding him a few things and a new winter coat. We still need to do some more shopping because I want to get him some new shoes and also make a trip to his favorite store Aeropostle. After shopping we headed to the church so he could go to the Prayer House. I dropped him off . . .said hi to my honey and then headed home.
While I was out shopping with Jordan I came across this fall wreath. I immediately hung it on the door. I was so excited to find it because my old one had seen it's day and then some. Also, I wanted a wreath that would say welcome and bring warmth to the entry of the house.
Also, right when you walk in I placed this metal sign that says "Harvest Welcome"! Now, please fall arrive . . .. it isn't going to happen today . . .temps in the low to mid 90's Ughhhhhhh!

What a FUN day. I'm planning to put out a few fall decorations myself hopefully today. You're looking forward to fall arriving and we're hoping for fall to stick around... supposedly they're predicting snow for this weekend.
Cindy - it was stinking hot today. When Jordan and I were out shopping the temp said 95 . . .now that is just toooooooooooo hot for October :-)
Take pictures of all your fall goodies! By the way, I caught up on your blog tonight. I might give you a call in a little bit. That picture of you just about broke my heart! Praying for you my friend!
I have that SAME sign - somewhere. I can't believe we can't find the fall decorations. I'm wondering what the boys did with them last season....Mike was gone...they could be anywhere. LOL I may have to go buy some more.
Yeah - over 90* here too and I'm so READY for fall - though we never get the wonderful color around here.
De'Etta- do you think they are piled along with the Christmas Decorations?
Speaking of fall temps or hot temps where you and I are concerned . . I was at the grocery store today. I put on my jean jacket when I walked in because the AC was cold. When I walked out the door I had not taken my jacket off yet (it was 95 today) Well, as I walking to my car a lady came up to me and said, "Are you wishing fall temperature here by wearing your jean jacket??" I started laughing . . .seems like everyone is waiting for the first cool snap! Let me know if you get one because usually we get it a few days after you!
