Tuesday and Wednesday

Yesterday was a pretty quiet day. I cleaned most of our downstairs and then headed to the school to volunteer at the Book Fair that is being held this week. While the students were at PE Sierra's teacher went ahead and held her teacher conference with me since I was there. She said wonderful things about Sierra. She has all A's so far and she said she is doing great! Also, she is the only person to get an A+ on all her spelling pretests so far. If they get 100 on the test they don't have to take the "real" spelling test on Friday! Yea Sierra!
I then went to the feed store to pick up somethings for Farley and then to the barn. After leaving there I headed home to make dinner. Lisa and I were suppose to workout but we were BOTH too tired to go so we took the night off.
When I uploaded picture today I found this pretty picture of Alexia on my camera! She is such a beautiful young woman inside and out! I love you Alexia! By the way, your eyes match your shirt! LOL
Today was a busy one. I normally volunteer all day on Thursday in Sierra's classroom but I have an appointment tomorrow and won't be able to make it in. I arrived at the school around 10 am and didn't leave until 3pm. Thankfully, I planned and easy dinner to I didn't have to stress too much with that.
I then headed to the barn to go see Farley. The last two weeks he has been a little lame. I had the farrier come and look at his feet and he said that they were soft. At first we thought he had an abcess but it turns out that he doesn't. It has been raining alot here lately so I think the moisture softened him up. The farrier is due to come back next Wednesday but in the meantime he asked me to apply Kopertox on his two front feet every day until we leave for Italy to see if that helps. When I got to the barn, Farley immediately looked at me and he seems to be saying, "Oh no, here she is again to mess with my feet!" LOL
The barn cat was up on a railing watching everything.I then headed out to the pasture with my supplies.
I first pick his feet and brush them off goof. My wonderful horse was frustrating me because every time I would have him cleaned off he would put his foot down and then I would have to clean it all over again. I finally got it clean and then I had to brush on the Kopertox. It is a thin green liquid that hardens up the bottom of his feet and also takes away thrush that he doesn't have -thankfully!
As I left the pasture my buddies Katie and Kenall were waiting for me. Aren't they adorable?I turned around to say goodbye to Farley and he gave me a sweet look goodbye! I told him don't worry . . . I will be back tomorrow to do it all over again!
Lisa and I were suppose to workout tonight but Lisa couldn't make it. I am going to try to head there now and get in at least 45 minutes.

I absolutely HATE the smell of Koppertox. My horse, Lady, had white line disease from our first barn and they had to put it on her all the time. Somehow that stuff spilled in the grooming box and even after cleaning it out, the smell remains. So all of our brushes and combs have this lovely aroma of Koppertox!

Ginger, I agree with you on the smell . . I got a little bit on my hand the other day and it stayed with me for hours!!! Yuck!

Alexia is beautiful....BTW has she noticed any difference in the way she is treated since she went from blonde to brunette?

De'Etta, I just asked her that question and she said she that even though she is now a brunette she can't get away from the "blond" jokes LOL Everyone jokes around with her saying we know your roots are blond :-)
