Sunday Happenings

After church Carlos had a staff lunch so the kids and I headed home to have lunch. Some of our staff brought their kids to our home to hangout while they had the meeting at Ken and Lisa's. While all the kids played I snuck to my room to read. I ended up finishing Forgiven . .. this is the 2nd book in the Firstborn Series. What a great series this is!

While I was reading my normally quiet, shy son Landon walked in looking like he was well . . . a tough guy which is something he is not. For the next 30 minutes he kept coming in dressed in all these different "costumes". I can't show any more pictures because they are only costumes a mother can appreciate :-) I don't know where this comedic urge came from but it was a totally different side of Landon :-) We ended up laughing so much each time he walked in with a new look!

Lisa and I ended up going to a late movie after we had all the kids down for the night. We watched the Nanny Diaries . .. it had a few things in it that were not good but the good outweighed the bad. It was a cute movie except for a word or two that didn't need to be there. The movie started at 9:25 and we could of been home by midnight but we ended up talking to almost 1:30 in the morning. I was so tired this morning when I wokeup but it was nice to have a girls night out despite it being late.
