Crockpot Roast
Today I spent the whole day at home again! It's amazing two days in a row and no where to go. I started the day by grabbing my second favorite appliance in my kitchen - my beloved CrockPot. This little machine is a life saver some days! The other night Lisa and I were at the grocery and we both ended up buying pot roasts to put in our crock pots. She's saved hers for tomorrow but I went ahead and made ours tonight.
I love how easy it is. I always spray it first with PAM. Then I add potatoes, carrots and onions. Then I place the roast on top. On top of the roast I pour one packet of Lipton Dry Onion soup Mix and one can of cream of mushroom soup. Also, I poured in one soup can of water. I then through the switch to LOW and in 8 -10 hours . . .dinner is done. How easy!
Today I just worked on some laundry and organized some things in my room. I decluttered two more drawers in my dresser. I then listed about 25 books for sale and the wonderful thing is almost half of them have sold. I also called my Mema (my grandmother) . I miss her so much! It was great catching up with her!
After school today all the kids had homework. I worked with Sierra first and then as soon as she was finished in walked Landon.
One of his assigments was to create his own Science Experiment. With the help of an USBORNE book . .he did just that. He proved that he eye has two different views but when both eyes are open . . they give one clear picture!
Each evening before Sierra goes to bed we do some kind of devotional book with her. We finished this book tonight. It's called Loving One Another - Beginner's Stories on Being A Good Friend. They were wonderful stories that taught her wonderful lessons!
After getting her to bed I headed over to Lisa's to pick her up and then we went to the gym and worked out for an hour. This week we are on a roll. Now, if we can just get in two more days we will be right on schedule.
I have also been able to be in bed by 12:30 am each night. I even fell asleep at 11:30 pm last night. I felt so rested today! Well, it's almost midnight and I want to read for a little bit before calling it a day!

Isn't it amazing how much you can get done if you're able to stay home for a few days!
We also use our crockpot a LOT and I always put Lipton's dry onion soup mix on ours as well.. another thing we have in common (LOL).
Cindy - it is quite amazing!!! I love days I can stay home and just work on things around the house. .. especially if it's a rainy day . .. then I am tempted to do an all day jammie day LOL
Sounds like a great day!
