We Are In Missouri!

This morning we left for the airport around 11 am. We met Jordan's friend Nate at the airport . . . he is going to be staying at Jordan's house for the 4 days that we are here. We decided to grab some coffee and lunch at the airport before our flight left because we were not going to have food on the flight. There is nothing like Starbucks Coffee, Nathan's hotdogs and their cheese fries . . .very nutricious . . .right? :-) Me and my honey waiting to board the plane!
Nate and Carlos

Lisa and Ken The traveling buddies on the plane.

We arrived in Missouri safe and sound! We got our rental car and then headed to the hotel to drop off our luggage. From there we headed to the Academy to find Jordan and to drop off Nate.
We found Jordan right away!
We all missed you!
We then found Melany! I forgot to get a picture of Moises.
Jordan and his buddy Nate.
They were getting ready to start a service as part of their orientation to the academy.
The guy playing the keyboard is in charge of the music academy!
After spending a few minutes with Jordan - Carlos, Ken, Lisa and I headed to the house to drop off Nate's suitcase. These next two pictures are the beautiful tree lined street that Jordan's house is on. This was my first time to the house . . .we peaked in every room. I was so happy to see a picture of me and Jordan on his nightstand! He must miss me too :-)

This was my first time to Missouri . . .Ken, Lisa and Carlos have been here before. All day today they talked about this restaurant called J.Alexanders. They kept talking about all the great food they had the last time they were here. We headed there for dinner tonight.
We had the best calamari . . .
and the best grouper and ahi tuna! Yum!!
We even had time to get a little smootching in! Poor Ken and Lisa had to put up with us.This restaurant had the neat way to store sugar packets. I asked the server where you get them . She said from a company called Wasserstrom but they did sell them there for $20.00. For the ones who know me . . .you know I am cheap . . .and I wasn't about to fork over $20.00 for it right then.
So, I decided to take a picture of it to see if you all have seen anything like this before and if you have . . .where can I get one? I think this would go great with my 40 cup coffee maker that I have. I use this when we have events or leaders meetings at our home.

After dinner, Carlos and Ken dropped us off at the hotel. They were heading to a coffee shop and to also see Taylor. Lisa and I were tired so we are going to wait and see him tomorrow. The guys just got back and we are calling it a night!

It's been great De'Etta. The campus is very nice and I am so surprised how many different areas and building they have!

How wonderful for you, Emily!

It seems like an interesting place. Is Jordan training to be a worship leader? I wasn't quite sure why he was there.

The school is actually a 4 year Bible School . . . his major will be in music which encompasses praise and worship leading. When he gets through after the four years he could be a pastor of music or even a pastor. It will give him enough training to go into full time ministry. If you would ask him today where he sees himself in 4 years . . .he would say full time ministry.

OH MY! You have mentioned J. Alexanders, OUR favorite restaurant. We try to go there ATLEAST once a year, for our Anniversary! My mouth is watering just thinking about it. Our favorite is Steak MAUI. While in BHAM, we were 30 minutes from one. Now we are over an hour, sigh!

Glad you are having fun!

Beth - this was my first time to J. Alexander's . . . when Carlos, Ken and Lisa had been here before .. . they came home and raved about that restaurant. It was soooooooooo good! The prices are a little steep but it was well worth it! Yum!
