A Fun Day at the Resort!
Today Landon, Sierra and I headed back to the resort where mom and dad are staying. Carlos, Alexia and Taylor were busy this weekend with special meetings at church.
Mom met us at the valet parking and we headed up to their room for awhile. Dad was in a meeting until about 1:00 pm. We then headed down to the pool for some fun in the sun.
It had been years since I had been to this particular resort. In fact, the last time I was there was back in 1989 when I only had Jordan and my friend Lisa Bevere (yes, the same Lisa Bevere who is a speaker and author) and her son Addison came along too. At that time, my dad was attending another conference that was being held there and invited us over to hangout by the pool. Wow! That was a long time ago. On a side note, Carlos and Lisa's husband John were associate pastors for the same church for many years!

Dad and mom treated us to lunch by the pool. It's amazing how much they charge for just one sandwich . . .it was unbelievable!
Not quite sure what Landon was doing here with that lemon in his mouth . . .:-)
There were beautiful waterfalls and even a water slide.
That's my mom in the hat waiting for Sierra and Landon to come down the slide.

In the hot tub!
Ahhhhhhh! This is the life!
Sierra actually spent almost all day going down the slide.
She spent so much time that she won a contest for having the fastest time coming down the slide . . . .8 seconds was her best time. Her prize . . .a handful of tokens for the arcade.
Landon spent his time at the waterfalls.
Thanks mom and dad for a funfilled day! Thank you so much for your generosity and your love! Mom, I hope your arm is ok . . .where that guy accidentally bent it. Dad, thanks for all the fun gifts you gave the kids! They love them. Also, the kids said they had the best time!
We headed back inside around 5:00 . . we stopped at the arcade so Sierra could use her winnings.
She was a very sweet sister and split them with Landon so he could play too!
The thrill of the day was riding the elevator up to the 28th floor and then heading back down without stopping. It was so funny to see how many other people were doing the same thing.
Up we go . . . .
At the top . . the view was incredible!
Thanks again mom and dad for a fun day! I love you so much and I couldn't ask for better parents! And dad . . .you are an awesome mayor!
This evening Alexia had a bunch of friends over to watch High School Musical 2.

They all went crazy for him! Every time he appeared on the screen they went nuts! Those crazy teenagers!

Oh! I have great news! I received an email from Lisa today. She said they are safe and made it through the storm. She said to say thanks for all the prayers! They will be home Monday night!
