Quiet Monday

After weeks of traveling it was nice to have a "stay at home" day. My parents headed home around 11:00 this morning. Since having our first baby over 19 years ago, my parents have watched the kids almost every time we have had to go out of town without the kids. There is no better feeling than knowing that the kids are being watched over carefully! I always leave with the peace of mind knowing that the kids will be well taken care of. It was sad to see them leave but with my dad being a mayor he had a very important meeting that he had to get back to. Sierra was not only said to see her grandparents leave but also Yankee whom she loves!

Thanks again . . . we will miss you so much!See you next month! We love you!
While we were in New York my dad had Alexia's car checked out by a mechanic. My dad broke the bad news to me that the car needs to go car heaven . . .so I am without a car for the whole week until Carlos gets home. So, with nowhere to go . . I unpacked, put everything away and then cleaned up my room which needed it badly. It might not be such a bad thing that I don't have a car because it will cause me to work on the things around the house that I haven't been able to get to due to all the traveling we have been doing! I am sure that Alexia is going to be sad about her car but hopefully we can find her something else quickly!
When I flew to Vancouver a few weeks ago I needed a book to read on the plane. I wanted an easy read so I ran to the bookshelf to see what sounded good. I noticed this collection of books that I had bought for Alexia about 3 years ago . . The Anne of Green Gables Series. I had never read any of these books so I grabbed the first one.
I ended up loving this book! I finished it while in New York. I can't wait to get through the whole series but I am taking a break before starting book 2 which is Anne of Avonlea. I started the book Redemption while I was in New York so I am going to finish that book first before starting book 2.
Well, I am going to get off the computer so I can do some reading before going to bed. I have been trying to do "less computer" and more reading lately!

It's so wonderful to have family available to watch the children. I know exactly what you mean! I haven't read that series of books either but we have them on my shelf. Glad you are enjoying them.

Welcome home.

Thanks Kathy! It is nice to be home. I can't wait until the rest of the crew get home this weekend. It won't be the same without Jordan but at least 6 of the 7 of us will be home under one roof!
