Imagination Station

Today I spent the day doing lots of wash and packing for our trip tomorrow - (Wednesday). I asked the kids to play nicely together so I could get everything done that I needed to get done. They started out the day playing Jr. Monopoly and then switched to regular Monopoly. After the board games they got very creative and their imaginations went wild. I was walking by Landon's room and this is what I saw:

He and Sierra had his whole room set up for a huge knock down war.
They had it set up everywhere! The army men were even coming out of the kleenex box :-) Gotta love their imagination!

As they played away I finished the laundry and almost finished packing. We then took a break for dinner and headed out to Red Lobster. Also, we made stops at Old Navy, Marshalls, Target and Wal-mart. We also stopped at my sister in laws to drop off my nephews "late" birthday present. And last but not least we stopped by Ken and Lisa's to feed Christian's fish. Whew!!! Wears me out just thinking about what we did! Landon and Sierra are now sleeping . . I am waiting for the last load of towels to dry and then I am headed to sleep too!

Nice of you to let them make such a mess (LOL)! At least they are old enough to clean it up all up by themselves! I would have CRIED if I saw that mess because our youngest isn't old enough to put a big mess like that away all by himself.....

We'll be anxious to hear from you during your next summer adventure!

We are about an hour away from leaving for the airport. The kids are very excited.

Also, about all the toys . . .last night before Landon and Sierra went to bed . . it was all put away and the room was clean :-) I am a little weird . . I have to have the house perfectly clean when we leave to go on vacation . . I LOVE to come home to a clean house :-) That is the organizational declutter freak in me LOL

Hey Emily,

I showed Roy this and he said when he was little he & his brother or his Dad would sit on opposite sides of the hallway on the hardwood floors. They would strategically place them on the battlefield and select our favorite marble of equal size...taking turns mowing them down with the marbles!!
Out of all the games he played this is still his favorite that he played with his Father:)

Enjoy your trip...we miss you all!

What a fun memory for Roy. I am sure Landon will have memories like that too. He loves to set up these HUGE wars with all his toys. He is going to be 12 in December so I am not sure how much longer he will play like that. . .I know I will miss walking by his room and watching his imagination run wild! Tell Roy and the kids we said hello! We are now in Salt Lake City waiting for our next flight.
