Fabulous Friday
The past two days I have been ALL by myself. Sierra went to spend the night at her friend Kiana's house on Wednesday and I was to pick her up today (Friday) I spent the last two days catching up around the house and reading. It was almost too quiet for me but it was kind of nice.
Anyways, I thought I needed some company today so my sweet Selena came over to keep me company. We usually spend time together once a week but since I have been gone most of the summer . . .our visits have been few and far between.
Selena LOVES Molly and Molly LOVES Selena!
Selena went through Sierra's nail polishes. She brought me the color she wanted for her nails . . .you won't believe what color she picked . . . . BLUE! I forgot to take a picture of her nails.
After painting her nails we played toys for awhile and then we went outside to play a little.
Selena is so loving and sweet!
Did I mention that she LOVES Molly :-)
I needed to pickup Sierra at 3:45 so Selena and jumped in the car and headed to pick her up. Here is picture of Sierra with her friend Kiana . . .I hope I am spelling her name right.
On the way home we went to take Selena back home. We stayed and hung out with Della for awhile. They have been remodeling their home and it is really coming together nicely. They just completed their back porch and it looked great. They bought all new patio furniture that was so comfortable! We then headed home to grab some dinner. Around 7:30 Ken and Lisa called and said they were heading to the bookstore and asked if Sierra and I wanted to go. We said SURE! So, we threw on our shoes and headed up the road to meet them.

Sierra showed of the french manicure and pedicure that she gave herself earlier this evening.
She really did I great job . . .I was impressed!
Notice her new headband . . I picked that up in Soho while in New York!

We arrived at the bookstore and made our way back to the kiddie section. Ken was a sweety and treated us to coffee and the most amazing cookie.
The kids have a great time reading books, playing with the train table and watching movies.

We then went to the Christian novel aisle and started looking through books. We are totally hooked in the Karen Kingsbury books right now but we are looking ahead to see what we will read next. While we were doing that the kids decided to put on a puppet show for us!
We stayed until closing and then headed home. Sierra is now sound asleep next to me. Carlos and Alexia are on their way back from Missoui. Taylor and Jordan are both in Missouri and Landon is in Louisiana enjoying his last day of camp. Tomorrow 5 of the 7 of us will be under one roof. Boy, has it been awhile! I think Sierra and I will make chocolate chip cookies to welcome them home :-) Now, I am off to enjoy my book!

About the Karen Kingsbury books -- she has LOTS of books! And thankfully they are not all "looking for a man" books, those get sort of tiresome to those of us who already HAVE a man. >g<
Her Baxter family are in 3 different series books. There are the 5 books in the Redemption series: Redemption, Return, Remember, Rejoice, Reunion. Then they're followed by the Firstborn series which centers on the life of their firstborn child & his girlfriend & includes a lot of the Baxter family: Fame, Forgiven, Found, Family, Forever. THEN there's a series after that which she's still writing so I'm not sure where it's going but it's still the first child, the Baxters & the Flanigan family (who I think look a LOT like Kingsbury's family). That series is the Sunrise series & starts with Sunrise, followed by Summer & I don't know what after that.
Can you tell I read too much?
Wow! Wait until I tell me friend Lisa . . .she is going to freakout when I tell her that she is still writing about the Baxter's. Thanks for the info!
Great to see Selena on the blog again. Sierra is looking so grown up in this entry....I'm impressed that she did those nails by herself....wow.
De'Etta - it was so good spend time with Selena last week. She is just a doll and so sweet and loving. Keep praying . .. her father my BIL is out of prison . . her mother left rehab and they are now together. We have heard they are getting married at the courthouse in the 10th of this month. Thanks for your continued prayers!
