Blessed By A Friend!

Today my wonderful father in law let me borrow his car again today. I needed to run to the office to do some work plus pick up my camera. I got to the office around noon and worked until about 3:00 pm. I then headed to JC Penny's to return to pair of shorts that I had purchased but decided I didn't really want to spend the money . . . so back they went.

My wonderful husband blessed me with many calls today . . . I think he must be missing me . . .I know he is anxious to get home . .. they leave in the morning to head for home! He did tell me that Taylor wants to stay and do one more track so he won't be coming home until August 8th.

I was able to get a hold of my sister Steph. She has been going crazy with a room addition project that they are in the middle of. I miss my sister's . . . and my brother too!

I spoke also with my friend Brenda about the Italy trip. She is trying to finalize the flight information . . . she did decide to get married in Venice, Italy. It sounds like it is going to be beautiful!

Later on this evening I received a phone call from someone very special. He called and asked if he could come over and Deep Clean all of our carpets. He knew that all the kids were gone and that this would be a perfect time. I couldn't believe it . . . but over he came . . . I was so embarrassed because our carpet was disgusting . . .it was so bad I wasn't even wanting to vacuum anymore :-( We built this house 7 years ago . . .so you can imagine how bad it was.



Well, I decided to head over to Lisa's while he steam cleaned the carpets. It was great spending some time with all of her kids. Plus, she made me some coffee which I had been craving! Also, she tried some new things with my hair . . she is trying to talk me into cutting my hair short . . .I don't know if I have the nerve.

About 3 hours later . . .our friend called me and said he was finished. I felt bad it took so long . . . he said it was pretty bad . . . I went inside and all the carpet looks great! Thank you so much for blessing us with the cleaning! That was so sweet of you . . .I know you worked hard all day today and it really means alot that you took time from your family and your down time to come and clean our carpets! Your the best!

I called Carlos and let him know what happened. He was shocked . . . he knew how badly our carpets needed cleaned! What a great way to end the night!

UPDATE 7/27: I spoke with our friends wife today and told her that I didn't use his name in the blog because I didn't want to embarrass him . . . she said it was fine to say who it was . . . .well, a big thank you goes to . . . . . . . Ken . . .what a guy! You sure didn't have to . . . thanks again! They happened to get the machine from Lisa's parents to steam their carpet in their rental house. He then surprised us and offered to do our too . . . he probably got sick of looking at our horrible looking carpet :-) LOL
