My Playdate With Selena!

This morning I picked up Selena so we could spend the day together. I was not able to see her last week due to the fact that I didn't feel good at all. We first stopped at the farm to see Farley and the other horses. Selena loves to hop on the big red tractor and pretends to drive around.
Maybe she is going to be a country girl like her Aunt Emmy.
She then spent some time loving on the horses. First was Brandy

and then Cloud.
Farley was out in the pasture. We kept calling him and calling him but . . . .
he just stood there for a few minutes and then he walked away. I guess he thought he was going to have to go in the barn. Our other neighbor had her horses out so we said hello to the three of them too.
We then headed into town to run some errands. Our first stop was Blockbuster to return a movie. Then we went to Wal-Mart. I had a few items to pickup for the trip Lisa and I are going on tomorrow.

We then went to GOLD'S Gym. Ken and Lisa signed up yesterday and I thought this would be something good for Carlos and I to do too. Plus, if Lisa ever went during the day without Ken I could go with her so I wouldn't have to go by myself. I haven't gone to a "gym" for years. The last time was back in the 80's when I was a member a Bally's. Back then my friend and I signed up together and it was nice to have someone to work out with.

I have been whining to Carlos, Ken and Lisa about my "jelly legs" long enough. I faithfully worked out here at the house for two years but I still couldn't get my legs toned enough so I know the gym is going to be my only option. I want to work on some of the machines, maybe the treadmill or elypitcal machine and also do a couple classes. I know for sure I want to do the Body Pump class . . it is similar to what I did when I worked out here at the house. I hope I can get Carlos and I into some kind of routine so we can make this just become part of our weekly lives.

The staff at GOLD's were busy so I couldn't get a full tour. They wanted me to come back tomorrow but I told them I was leaving to head out of town and I would come back next week. I was going to surprise Carlos and just sign us both up but I think we better go together so he can check it out too. The gym was very nice . . .it is brand new and it is the nicest gym in our area.

UPDATE: Tonight Lisa called and told me to run up to the gym so she could show me around. Once I got there one of the staff members showed us around. I think I am really going to enjoy it. It's brand new and the facilities are wonderful! Plus, there are morning or afternoon Body Pump classes so it will give me a few choices to choose from.

After we left the gym Selena wanted chicken and french fries so we went to McDonalds. For as petite as she is she is an incredibly great eater! She ate almost a whole chicken nuggests kids meal.

After lunch Selena said she wanted to go see "Lolly" (that is what she calls Molly) at Aunt Emmy's house so we headed back home. As soon as we opened the door to the house she went looking for Molly. We brought her outside so she could do her "business" and then she played with her for awhile.

Selena loves to have her picture taken. She is totally amazed at digital camera's. Every time I take a picture she wants to see it right away. I used the self timer for this one.
1 Selena is always so happy. She seems to always have a smile on her face!

What a sweet gift she is! Thanks Selena for a fun day!

What a cutie! Fun day together. Glad to hear Deanna is doing well. At least Selena keeps her eyes open during her photo shoots. :)

Can't wait to hear what you think of the Gold's Gym and if you get the results you are looking for. I love our Y but don't have time to take classes these days.

Kathy - Selena is so special. I know the Lord has a hand on her little life. He has brought her through so much in her short 2 little years of being on this earth.

I will keep you updated on the gym . . I hope something will make the difference in toning my legs:-)

Cindy - I always have a great time with her!
