Mother's Day - #2

Tips for sharing the Bible with small children:

Here are a few things Carlos and I have done with our kids - starting when they were very little
1. Read them a Bible story out of a children's Bible story book daily.
2. We bought them the NEST Family Video Series - they are videos/dvd's that have the Old and the New Testament in cartoon style - but done very professionally. Our kids learned so much through the videos. There are also corresponding Coloring/Activity Books to go along with each Movie.
3. Pray with them.
4. When our kids start Kindergarten they start memorizing Bible verses - one a week.
5. Play Children's Praise Music - in the car, in their rooms, in your home. We just bought Sierra a CD/ Headphone set and 4 praise and worship CD's for kids. I see her all around the house listening and singing her music.
6. Buy and use the book 1001 To Introduce Your Child to God. This book is great! . She gives great ideas from newborn to age 5-7.
It is at Amazon for 64 cents used. I bought this book for $14.99 when Jordan was little.

Then when you finished that book - get 1001 Way to Introduct Your Child to the Bible. This book is newer and will cost a little bit more but they have used ones on Amazon too. It is the next step in teaching your children about His Word.

These two books will give your children the perfect start with their walk with the Lord.

Kathy - my laptop decided to die last week so I am borrowing my friends. I am so behind in reading too. I am just using his computer to do my daily blogging. I won't be able to take the time to read blogs until I get my computer in a few days. Boy, will I really be behind them!!
