Alexia's birthday continues

My computer decided to die last week so I am borrowing our friends laptop so I can blog once a day. I am slowly getting Alexia's picture on the blog. Each birthday we get our kids three gifts to open . . . back when we homeschooled they would open one at breakfast, lunch and then dinner. Now, that the kids are in school we usually open gifts when they get home from school. She was so excited to receive her very own "Bubba Keg" These are great! They keep your drinks cold for 8-10 hours . . .if you drink water . . .you will LOVE these. You can get them at Wal-mart or Target. We also got her a pair of Roxie cutoff sweats and a Roxie t-shirt.
She was also very excited to receive the Bare Escentuals Starter Kit. She can now be a BE addict like me :-)
Also, a Bare Escentuals Travel Bag. This is a great way for her to carry her minerals if she goes to spend the night at a friends house. Her last present was Loreal Sublime GLOW, Loreal Sublime GLOW Daily Moisturizer and Loreal Sublime GLOW for face. Also a pair of REVLON tweezers . . .these tweezers are awesome. The other part of this gift I don't agree with but her father has ok'd her to get her nose pierced. I think she should wait until after she 18 and graduates but Carlos thinks it's ok to have her get it now. He is going to take her this weekend. I am not thrilled about it.On the way home from taking Taylor to school our neighbor's minature pony was at the fenceline. She is just too cute!
I haven't felt very good this week so it has been nice and quiet. I have been staying in and resting as much as possible. Tonight I am going to venture out . . we are going out to dinner with our friend Richard and his fiance (they live in Maui and are here visiting) and Ken and Lisa. I am hoping I have enough time before hand to purchase my new laptop. I have to give our friends laptop back on Sunday.

Love your birthday chair that you do on the wall.

It has been a tradition since our oldest turned "1" :-)

Oh I am definitely stealing that Birthday Chair idea! It's great! We use streamers around the house but I've never done the birthday age in streamers. Thanks for sharing!

Kathy - I hope to someday make an album with all the pictures of them sitting in front of their birthday chair. IT is one tradition thankfully we have kept throughout the years.

Dorothy - I am feeling SO much better today!

Well, I would not be so thrilled about the nose piercing either, but I'm sure my mom felt that way when I got my ears pierced for the second time. It's more of a generational thing, don't you think, and it's certainly preferable to many of the other piercings and/or body markings that we see . . . or don't . . .

My 12yodd mentioned recently that she'd like to get a tattoo on her ankle when she's old enough. I just about died, but she explained that she'd like a small cross . . . and I thought, well that wouldn't be so bad. :)

Kristine - that is very true - at one time she wanted a belly button ring and that really freaked me out :-)
