Global Day Of Prayer & Someone is Engaged!!!
Today at church we watched a 12 minute video about the upcoming Global Day of Prayer. This year it will fall on May 27th. Millions across the world in many countries participate in this annual event. If your church has not mentioned it, feel free to share the information with your pastor. Today we had some of our children and adults lift up a globe on a quilt that represented many of the countries as we all prayed for a different country. Also, our great friends Isai and Samantha announced their engagement today during church. Congratulations to this precious couple. Isai and Samantha are both missionaries! It will be exciting to see what they do together in ministry!
After church I was waiting for the rest of the kids to come to the car . . .Kaitlyn was waiting for Ken to get their car . . .Taylor came up and gave Kaitlyn a big hug . . .but again . . .her eyes were closed! One day I will get another picture with her eyes open. We all headed to Nick's restaurant for lunch. Our other friends Mark, Bonnie and Javier met us their too.
Carlos flew in from Virginia this evening. He stopped first at the church because there was a leaders meeting going on. He then came home and unpacked. Around 10:30 Lisa called and invited us over for coffee . . .so we headed over there until about midnight. It's now past my bedtime so I will call it a night. As I close for today, I just want to remind everyone to pray for all the families in Kansas who lost everything during the tornado on Saturday How devastating to have a whole town wiped off the map.
